Cell Phones Prepaid - Is This The Right Plan For You?Cell phones prepaid can sometimes be the best plan for people if they find themselves in certain situations. This article is written to help you decide if cell phones prepaid plans are suitable for you.

With cell phones being such a huge item; it seems as though everyone has one today. They are great for emergencies and keeping in touch with family and friends. But what do you do when you find yourself paying high monthly bills and you rarely use your phone? There are all kinds of options available for cell phones prepaid plans that will enable anyone to keep their cell phones activated without paying high monthly bills. If you have children or college bound kids on your home these plans may work out best for you. Yes we all want to provide our children with a cell phone; after all what if an emergency arises.

We want them to be able to get in contact with us or the required personnel. However if you have any kids then you know that sometimes giving them a phone can be a bad thing. They will use all the minutes in no time and can sometimes go over the alloted monthly allowed phone minutes. If this happens then you know how expensive it can be.

I personally found this out when I gave my kids a cell phone for their birthday since they were leaving for college. I got the phone for free and assumed that 500 minutes would be enough. So I paid around $50 a month. I specifically told them to use the phone only for emergencies and as long as they did not go over the allotted minutes; I did not care which of their friends they called.

Well when I got the next bill I was shocked to admit it but the phone bill was way up into the hundreds. Needless to say I took away their phone priviledges and ended up switching to a cell phones prepaid plan. This enables anyone to have a phone and talk as much as you want. Once the minutes run out; then you can upload the phone with more airtime. So now I upload their phone with airtime every month and if they run out; they are without a phone. It works great for me and it has taught my kids how to be more responsible with who they talk to and how long they stay on the phone.

Besides it is so easy to reload the phone; you can do it online, over the phone or with a prepaid card or credit card. This has been one of the best things I have found for my kids and I highly recommend it for anyone who has college students or who do not use their phone everyday and do not want to be bind to yearly contracts.
